mine that is now over 1' does not hide at all...i have a log pile for it and it stays on the other side of the tank...it likes to lay next to my 16" gar...i just put one of my 10" bgks into the tank and after some exploring it went to the logs and rock pile...i have noticed some times my ck has just its head inbetween some rocks...it does this more after i give it a live treat...the feeders run to the rocks so i think it is just hunting when it does this behavior...
