I plan on exteranl framing. Going to insulate it so I want 2x4s to create the space needed for isulation. Probably use 2x6 for main support across the bottom and top. Still trying to track down a good plexiglass/glass store in central florida. Probably have to go to orlando. I never figured 1/2-1in would be a hassel for glass stores.

Go to a LFS that orders tanks. That is where I got my glass. $120 out the door 95"x23" 3/8"

Sorry you posted while I was writing my reply.

Thanks John, you have been helpful. My local fish stores actually told me to go to a cash advance or some place like that and ask who did their glass work. Buildings are built everyday (banks, cash places, etc) and alot of them use extreme plexi so I just need to search for a better place at this time.
Someone mentioned a stand, luckly I plan to dodge a stand. This is going in my Florida room, straight on to concrete. I have been thinking mainly about 3/4 plywood braced by 4x4 every 2ft (2 2x4 studs screwed together) with 2x6 framing the bottom and top with top bracing every 2ft (2x4).
I have found a few places online with good prices but will not ship just one little order.

well damn........now the question is. is my tank not going to hold up?!?! if its not then i'm not wasting any more money into it, i'll just put a roof on it and make another big ass dog house!:wall:

IME 1/2" plexi is only good up to 24" max. 3/4" Plexi up to 30" and outside of that I have no direct experience so I cannot comment.

I used 3/4" glass on my 36" tall tank. However, there is 2" of support all around the gladd and water only comes up to 34" at best.

Pond Armor is great if it doesn't flex. That means build a solid frame. Also I have accidently smacked the walls pretty hard with some big rocks trying to move them around and only a slight scuff mark nothing outside of that.

As far os OSB, no way. Slightest amount of water touches it and kiss it all goodbye.
