Has anyone had trouble with their tap water down here in South Florida?

I was just going to do a water change the other day when my friend calls me and says he had just done a water change and about an hour later his whole tank was hazed really badly. He said he took it to a Petsupermarket nearby to get the water tested and they said it was fine but that in that day all sorts of people were coming in with the same problem.

Now I'm afraid to do a water change, and I don't feel like paying for 30 jugs of tap water...

Nobody's had any problems at all? Well I hope it was just my friend's tank then.

I am in Doral/ Miami and have not . If your friend has tell him to call his local dept of water I find the politicians here the worse and it would be nice if others besides me lol complain to them.

thats why you cure a 1oogal troth to do water changes.

I havent had any problems...but I only do 30% changes, and use almost double the amount of Prime needed just to be sure. Summer is kicking off and Miami Dade usually ups the amount Chlorine in the water.

I have the same problem with a cloudy tank after some of my water changes, and I don't have city water. I have well water.

I haven't had problems yet. Then again, I have well water :)

Okay, what exactly is well water? Do you guys have separate tanks set up with just water in them? Or actual wells?

I didn't even know we had wells in South FL. :duh:

I think it means that our water comes straight from the aquifer. I actually have no idea :D
