Tiger barbs and clown loaches go hand in hand. They swim together in the wild and in aquariums. Tigers are tough enough not to be overwhelmed by the loaches.

I noticed this long ago when I worked at Petsmart. Tiger barbs and clowns will school together as if their one schoal. I have 7 clown loaches with 8 of each differnt type of tiger barb with no problems. The ruler of my tank is a 11month old 9"+ Midas who when he comes to eat everyone moves, but no problems at feeding time. The albino bristle nose plecos keep to themselves, but the chinese algae eater will get in there and can hang.:grinno:

i have 24 cls 5-9 inch and I have kept them with larger datnoids and jardini arowana's. Silver arow would work well to.

i have 26 clowns in a 150 with a 12in jar, im pretty sure there all there i did see once clown that looked like it got attacked but i have sense added more rock for them to hide, i also have a 11in datnoid and the clowns fear nothing when in the group

I keep mine with Irridescent sharks.

i dont know if your still taking suggestions or not but....

roseline sharks are great to have, ive got a group of 6 with my 30 or so loaches and they do great! something to look at at the top of the tank and they school together very well. Another idea would be a flagtail fish, they do a great job eating algae and staying towards the top
