Do I have to buy enough for my tank size or can 1 pk do just fine and live?

Im asking cause I dont want to spend 100.00+ on Bio Spira for a 300gl

I read one pk and it said for 90glns and wanted to know If I would be in the safe zone to add one pack and not have to worry about the bacteria dying due to not enough Bb to reproduce in the beginning stage of a Cycle.

Thanks

Couple a smaller dose of cycle with some enzymes (stress zyme or cycle) and you can speed up the lower bio spira amount.

yep.

your best bet is to just get one pack of bio spira, and get some cycle.

have a fish in there and wait a day or two.

Nice, will do that today:D

My Params read as following... PH 8.2, Nitrate 5.0, Nitrite 0.0, Amonia 0.00

are these normal Params for a new set up with some used bio balls/ceramic rings??
When I add the Spira and stress zyme will the params start to jump up and down till the BB builds up? In other words... what do I expect when I add the stuff:D

No, I was going to go to the aquarium today and buy 5 DZ feeder comets

Tetra bought Biospira and relabeled it "Safestart". It is no longer a refrigerated product and supposedly is shelf stable. This means that Bio Spira is no longer useable. It's junk, just like the rest of the off the shelf cycling products.
