This is the worst Dissaster to hit QLD in 50 years and its getting worse.

I live in brisbane Queesnalnd and beleived we would be ok but now 30 brisbane suburbs are under high flood alert.

The damns cant cope with the amount of water and the brisbane river has broke its banks, many people are stranded on roof tops.... I pray for those in the worst affected areas and although its likey to hit close to home i pray it dosnt.

Man this weather is crazy and although you cant think the worst its a little unerving watching the water level rise and watching the news and seeing massive walls of water tear suburbs apart and literaly rip houses apart and pick up cars its crazy. I Hope fellow Queensland members of MFK are doing ok and are high and dry. If its safe, stay at home and dont take any risks driving on such dangrouse roads

Stay safe-

Darren.

I hear you mate, not much we can do except ride this out, the bloody the rain dosnt look as if its going to stop any time soon. My sister in law works at the royal brisbane hospital and cant leave due to flooding and a friend of the family had to be airlifted to saftey.

Stay safe-

Darren.

May you all, and your's, be safe.

The planet is going crazy.

Quick update-

As much as 75% of Queensland has been devistated, a reported 10 people have lost their lives and as many as 90 peaple missing.

Luckely my suburb is safe, the water got to just above ankle level and despite the constant rain didnt seem to get much higher thankfully, i feel for all those that have gone thrue a pretty terrifying experience and have lost so much, i cant imagine what they are going thrue.

Lets just prey this ends soon and the rebuilding can begin. Later today were are also expecting king tides and river peaks.

i am praying it ends for you soon.. this is really tragic and mother nature is out of control.. i am glad to hear your safe. i have a few friends that live there.. just awful

death toll is now 12 and 43 missing persons. i was lucky enough to escape the floods in dayboro but from my little drive down to see what it was like alot of businesses got flooded luckily noone got injured as far as I know. i hope we're prepared enough for the high tide

Really glad I moved up here last year. Was talking to my lil sis today, she is still living at Sinnamon Park, water stretching from the bottom of the hill and over the highway to Jindalee. Nutso. Windamere must be well under by now. Will be interesting to see what hieght it peaks at tomor morning. Then we just have to watch TC Vania and see if it makes it over here from New Caledonia. That is one big ass cyclone.

Crazy thing is the wet tropics is the least wet place in QLD right now. Stay safe all.
