q's about a red wolf fish or common wolf fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I honestly don't think the phago will give you what you're looking for. If the RHF wolf doesn't work for you, I'd look into getting something else. If you already plan on upgrading to a 35, why not get it now and get something else for the 20? It shouldn't be that long before the wolf outgrows the 20. A 20 gallon really limits you. Have you looked into any fw or brackish puffers? I don't remember the max size, but I think a congo puffer may be fine for a while in your 20. They're not that active, but you have to sacrifice activity level if you want something that's not neon tetra size.

im a student balancing golf football and basketball and my parents wont pay for snails because theyre expensive around here otherwise i would have gotten a puffer-side note i have had dwarf puffer before

sry if i seem demanding but i just want something mean and predatory but why not a phago cuz i hard they get to the size of a ball-point pen and eat anything

I don't think congos get that big. Maybe 6-8," if I remember correctly. I don't think you have to worry about feeding them snails like you do fahakas and mbus. I'd just stick with freeze dryed krill and shrimp with the shell on.

the reason i asked u guys cuz im tired of fish recommendations from petco/smart and having the go bad...they said i could keep a jd in a 10 gallon!!

They're a cool fish in their own right, but I don't think they'll live up to your expectations. That's all. They're predatory, but they don't really have the thrill factor I think you want. Just my honest opinion. Do more research. I'm sure you'll find something that'll work out better for you.
