discus = monster fish ? A single tank - no (in my opinion)

(10) 200gal tanks of Discus = a monster fish keeper.

You would have more patience than I ever would.


To me monster fish are any of the old ancient fish (

Discus get big. To keep some really nice saucer sized discus you need a massive tank with lots of monster filtration.

All of those count as monster set ups to me, especially the tropheus community to fall into the category of Monster investment ($).
 
haha i love discus but i don't see them as monster fish....i gauge it to how my wife reacts....she sees discus and she goes....what cute little fishies....she sees a 24" arowana or a knifefish and she goes :eek:
