It does, but as we all know when it comes to specifics on monetary value being 'debated' in the hobby, it gets messy, or people simply dont feel comfortable divulging what they'd pay, have paid, or value a fish at.
Thats fine, and understandable. So, perhaps the question should be re-phrased to what BD is more desirable and you'd value (without specific $) higher than others.

So the answer is simple...... Just like Marbles they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them and like art it just all comes down to personal prefrence. Look at the Barrett Jackson auctions.... Hard to put a price on stuff related to personal prefrence.
If a typical BD is 2K then a nice one should be what? $6K? Standout specimens of other ray species can easily be worth 3 fold what run of the mill is....
