I wish mate, 1 1/2 years ago i saw this pic in a book which made me research them on the net which led me here :D
Let me guess. It was Simon & Schuster's Freshwater and Marine Aquarium Fishes. I had that same book almost 30 years ago. I cut the little pictures out and made them into fishy playing cards. Pretty dorky, huh. :( The current version is:

BTW, I think it's a D. pulcher. Of course, when that book was written in the 1970s, all of the "gold datnoids" were considered D. microlepis.

Looks quality to me! Great colors!

My vote is for ST, The middle bar goes backward, the second to last bar goes to the tail...Very nice Dat, and I love the bodyshape.

wooo hooo I knew that was a pulcher

Sad thought, that fish is probably long dead if it was in a book 30 years ago

Nice fish though

ST for sure... dood the picture looks so good, it looks fake... nice dat...

very nice...

ST IMO

It's an Indo IMO. It's necklace looks like an indo. The middle bar shapes like my baby Indos' bar (go look at yours for comparison). The upper middle bar of a wide bar should be at least twice in thickness or length than its lower middle bar. The only differenct is the tail bar, which looks like a wide bar.

Perhaps it's a CT, or controversial tiger? lol.
