hi so i brought a 11 gallon tub for a Quarantine tank. then i brought like 100 feeder guppy and put it in the tub. i added a air stone a bag of circled filter media on top of the air stone and a heater. i added api general care, api em erythromycin, and itch x. i waited 1 week and only 3-4 dead ones so i changed out the water and dose the meds again. few days later i saw all of them is dead. what did i did wrong? did the meds kill all the bacteria from the circled media?

Many variables.
Possibly the feeder Guppies were already weak.
The mix of meds possibly killed them.
If the media was seeded the meds killed the bacteria and the ammonia level became lethal.
but the meds say it dont kill the bacteria, mybe i should buy a few and test it and see before i buy a lot again. i dont want to fed them when i doing meds because i dont want the nitrate to be super high since theres like 100 guppy in there.

I wouldn't suggest dosing any meds unless you know what you're trying to cure.
What are you trying to achieve with the guppies?
All you need is a few males and females and over time you'll have more guppies than you'll want.

Well I guess the big question was solved. Fish need food. Gotta feed the fish.
