These are gold, these nuggets of advice are exactly what I couldn't figure out, needing you guys speaking from experience and what works best.

Where did you get your levamisole? Is this the correct one? Levamisole-HCI-Powder

That's the expensive one, unless you have a small QT tank. This is cheaper per ounce

I had a 90 gallon QT system for the larger displays when I had freshwater. Most fish stayed minimum 2 weeks in the 90. I had a gar in the QT for over 6 months. For me quarantine is not just about disease and parasites but getting the fish used to you and the foods you offer. This gives it the best chance when placed in the display. For saltwater I don’t QT but I only buy fish that are feeding well and look healthy. When buying from stores I buy the fish that has been in the system for 2 weeks to a month. Fortunately my local stores will hold and perform the QT process for me.

That's very fortunate your lfs does the qt for you. I've personally had very bad luck with saltwater fish--except the invincible super clown fish--from my lfs in two cities and online, so I've given up on saltwater in general. Maybe I will get the itch again down the road. I was thinking of using a 20g for qt, but what you said made sense to get them used to everything new, not just the water. I have a 40g laying around so I will make that the qt instead and use one of the driftwood and rock from the main to leave it in there.

Just bought this. Thanks!

Related question ... if you bought multiples of a single cichlid species from COTA, and they were going to be the only fish in a newly cycled setup, would you treat for parasites?
