Thx guys for ur many replies.. I've stopped buying those feeders alr..

Actually I do wana use market fish or meat but e water always gets v oily on e surface after feeding.. Even a tiny piece of pork or liver results in a significant surface oil film.. Any way to remove it?

much better to feed seafood to fish, fish shouldn't be eating too much mammal based meat to begin with

Okay, but will they dirty e water? Wads e method to prevent dis? Oil on e water surface, cloudy water etc.. I've fed her market prawn before she does take it..

Yea i agree, I'm actually trying to breed feeder gups rite now but things arent gg so well many fry seem to have died or were eaten up.. Even some of e parents have died too.. My ideal scenario wld be to breed my own feeders and not to have to buy anything else from e lfs.. N oso supplement e bichir's diet with some market prawn once in a while as a treat..

For my bichir, I feed dried shrimp I buy from Asian markets. Buy about 1/2 a pound at a time and keep in the fridge. I rotate that with shrimp pellets that come in the can I believe by Wardleys. He seems to like the shrimp pellets better than the dried shrimp and he is really thriving. The Doctor.

I reckon you should make a stand that can hold multiple amounts of those plastic storage containers. and you could breed guppies on the top layer of the stand and convicts on the bottom of the stand. thats what im thinking of doing but i dont need to feed live food all the time...
