I have 5 yoyo loaches (botia almhorae) and I was thinking about eventually getting another type of loach. I was researching online and I saw some queen loaches (botia dario) My question is if i get 1 queen loach and put it with my 5 yoyo loaches will they get along? Also, if a queen isn't a good idea is a polka dot loach (botia kubotia) a better choice?

I haven't had any problem mixing Darios and Yoyos, but the Yoyos get much larger. Also, the Darios frequently have internal parasites and I would recommend a quarantined treatment for nematodes if you get them. I have not had much luck with them.
Either darios or kubs will work but it would be better if you get 5 of either species. They prefer to socialize in their own groups.
