I burnt myself with spilled hot coffee because I was too busy driving my manual transmission car, while talking on my cell phone, listening to the radio, looking through my CD's and looking at the hot chick across the street. I think Joe's coffee owes me some money. A-holes.

LOL... the old jump of a cliff saying gets a new makeover in a PC world. Can you get sued for saying it now LOL?

Joe's coffee is sending you an email...they're sueing you for defamation of character.

All jokes aside, I am not reassured by some of the answers posted or responses from admin/owners of this board. I certainly wouldnt be advertising I were a professional if I give out advice since that just gives more substance to being sued. I only raise this question since its an American forum and I am not familiar with American law which is infamous for lawsuits.

I have decided to limit my exposure and only offer advice on topics less controversial. Thanks for the responses.

I think if someone tried to build a lawsuit based on the outcome of following advice given on a forum, they'd be laughed out of court. Now if it were a website claiming to be the know all/end all and gave detailed instructions on how to do something, that might be a different case.

It's just funny that the American way is to sue sue sue. We constantly have to think about COA's when doing anything. It's sickening!

How can you sue an anonymous member of an online community?

Are you really going to limit your information input based on fear of being sued? I find that really hard to believe.

Don't give out bad info, and it isn't a problem. I am not sure anyone in America will sue you over $100 fish anyway. They would have to travel to your country to do it.
