What does it even matter if one of the parent fish was a pure rd or a "midevil"? These fish pictured are supposedly hybrids themselves I don't think it matters in this case as Midas / devils are closely related.
Not trying to be a jerk by the way. I just feel selling hybrids that dont physically show they are hybrids is a bad situation. Unless used for breeding what is the point of this hybrid, they will just end up looking like standard midas or devils.
Thats just it. A true Midas, and a true Devil, DO NOT LOOK THE SAME, NOT EVAN CLOSE!!!!!!!!
So true, once a hybrid, who gives a rats *** what else the hybrid freaks put into it, its still a hybrid, and they should not leave your tank. Cause somewhere down the line, the midas/midevil look alike becomes a pure midas and then all the offspring become available, then its like an uncontrollable snowball.
My goal some day is to be able to take a trip to Nicaragua, and catch a handful of Devils myself, and bring them home.
They may not look the same but similar. Im all for hybrids but the breeding of them should be deliberate. Letting two different species breed and then selling the fry at a shop when they look identical to one of the pure species parent fish is wrong in my opinion.
