* Question 4 NON-Smokers *

I am a non-smoker and yes I would date a smoker.
My dad has smoked for ever and I have dated smokers. I just make it clear that there is absolutely no smoking inside the house or car.

edit: lots of teeth brushing is a must!

I agree. If anything I try to be that person to help them quit.

I also ask that they don't smoke by me. I hate when I can smell it on my hair. Yuck.

But about kissing an ash tray I have seen it go both ways. I have kissed a smoker who did taste like an ashtray and it was disgusting..but on the other hand I kissed someone right after they smoked and there was no hint of the cigarette.

Can I flip this around a little, and say that I'm a smoker and find it difficult to date a non-smoker? It is stressful, I'm pretty conscientious of non smokers and it drives me insane trying to keep mints on hand, not being able to smoke in the car with them, etc. Ack. Seriously considering qutting though...

Where do you people get these kind of questions? My girl asked me the same question 2 days ago.. I thought she was smoking secretly lol pissed me off but I wouldn't date a smoker, hate the smell and def don't want it in my clothes house or cars. If you fall in love with this person you wouldn't want them to die before you.

Second-hand smoke can be unhealthy, not to mention the smell of smoke and how it consumes everything it comes in contact with. Relationship wise, smoking is a deal breaker.

"can be"? It can be deadly long-term, especially when you are constantly exposed to it. And yes, smoke smells nasty. Besides, there is NOTHING redeeming about smoking. At all.

Instant turnoff for me. I don't date anyone who smokes. If she quits, then I am fine with that otherwise smoking addiction absolutely is a turnoff for me. I don't smoke myself and I'm not letting secondhand smoke get to me either.
