Question about 2.5 gallon tank

No, that temperature difference would crack it much sooner

Please explain I fill all my tanks up with regular cool water and never had one to crack. I could see if he had just cleaned it with hot water and drained it and filled it back up with cool water but from his post it was cleaned with hot water days earlier .
