Question about a very large fish!!!

White sturgeon (acipenser transmontanus) easily hit 10ft so unless you have a 25,000 gallon pond at least 8ft deep and live in a place where it doesnt get above 25 celcius for extended periods of time (over 3 days) dont get one as they are inevitibly going to die
 
There are smaller sturgeon such as sterlets and shovelnose and both can be found in some lfs.
Each state has its own rules... but you could probably find some kind of sturgeon to keep if ya wanted...

Sterlet are fairly easy to find and get around 3', but I've never seen shovelnose. If I ever do see them and have the money, I'll buy them on the spot
