Not sure what you would call it. It's a common household kitchin product, it's a role of clear plastic material that you use to wrap food. It normally clings onto the food.
something like this?

but assuming the cling film is to only keep it together in the freezer?cause at first i thought it was something to wrap the food with so a little bit extra for the fish too eat.:screwy:

Try a whole pacific smelt. I used to have a common wolf that was been eating live feeders. When I bought it, it won't eat anything. I dangled a whole pacific smelt and it grabbed it and ate it. Been feeding it whole pacific smelt till I stop dangling the smelt and just drop it in front of the wolf for it to grab it. It later got used to it till it accept even cut up smelt and tilapia fillet.
whats a pacific smelt?....yes i know i have lots to learn, and i don't normally do the grocery shopping since i still live with my parents, and we dont eat ny kinda fish.

That's the stuff, it's purely to separate the chunks and stop, not sure what you would call it, frost damage, where the outside flesh becomes discoloured and slightly dried.

that's what i figured after i started to see how you commented on it.also what is a good way to wein him off of the feeder fish?i am unsure of exactly what type of feeders they used for him as well.something thats a plus is i ended up watching him eat some of the brine shrimp cube after it was sitting in the tank for a little bit. he probably ate half of it. which is a plus since they just feed him the day before i got him.i know night crawlers are readily avaliable so i will be trying to feed him them as well.

side question as well... something i have found was that people say to leave the light off on the tank?

Daves also feeds. There wolfs. Beef heart that daves packages himself. They cost 5 bucks and will last awhile. His wolfs eat comets and beefheart. They switch it everyother feeding most of the time. Unless he is a newborn they stay on healty non ill comets until I think 4 inches

i fed my common wolf a different food each day so he didnt get hooked on one type of food. He got worms, large frill, silversides, feeders(once a month), diced fish from the market. He grew about 3 inches in a month well maybe 2 but he packed on some bulk too. I use this diet with my red wolf now

think ill figured out a diet of stuff that should be readily available and healthy for him worms, shrimp, tilapia fillet feeder every now and then and then beef heart from daves(didn't know he sold this)...but for now i will give him a mixture of fillet and shrimp since thats what i have handy.
