For anubias species and amazon swords, that light will be fine. It looks to be a T12 or T8 bulb.
if he has a T12 a T8 wont work in it's place unless it has an electronic ballast. (but a T12 will work with an electronic ballast)
if it's T5 only another T5 will work.

So then what would the standard stock fixture be?

5 8 or 12?

T5 is not very common yet. T8 and T12 both are common. They are interchangable sockets, as long as the ballast is the right type it can fire both T12s and T8s.

Right:) you just need to be sure of what you have to begin with. t12 usually is not forward compatible (meaning that T12 ballasts usally wont work with T8 bulbs).

(I know you know this Wyld, I'm just posting it for everyone who may not lol)
