Question about Feeding a birchir

also for that size mysis shrimp work great, as well as smaller pieces of krill, and mine also love the hikari sinking pellets (they are in a blue bag) lol

Pellets:
Cichlid pellets mine will even grab ones that float
shrimp pellets
cranivore pellets
Mine will even eat sinking tabs ment for corys
Frozen:
bloodwoorms
mysis shrimp
brine shrimp
krill but may need cut in half
silversides may need to remove heads
Live (please be shure its clean)
ghost shrimp
earth worms
grasshoppers
crickets
Culled fry from your tanks
feeders again preferably self rasied
qt feeders from store please no goldfish

My advice is stay away from flathead catfish unless you got over 1500 gallons Bullheads are cool in a 125 though. I reccomend hikari sinking carnivore and tilapia strips the combo is a lot like miracle grow on bichirs . Also panfish/ trout (the small worms) Are good feed as a snack or treat

The bullhead will eat anything really. Mine get's the scent and will just gobble up anything. 3 whole shrimp in one feeding once(was suppose to only get one).

THe senegal LOVES Hikari sinking carnivore.

yeah my bad on thinking the catfish were bullheads, there mad toms only get about 3 inch.

Live or raw shrimp, shrimp pellets, Hikari carnivore diets, raw fish, chicken or beef(NO processed meat), earthworms, cichlid pellets, algae tablets(Yes they need and love 'em!).
