Right now i have a 55 gallon with a red oscar that is about 6", a meeki 2", a jack dempsey 2.5" and I wanted to add another fish because in a couple months i was going to get around a 100 gallon tank. SO i went to the local fish store and they recommend a Bleeki but my jack chases it around since i have put it in there and this fish is 3". how can I stop that? They also said that I could put a green terror or red terror in the tank also. Is this true? I use to have another red oscar about the same size but it was killed by the oscar i have now. I also had a fish that started with a g but don't remember what it is because it was really long name but my oscar ate him. I did have a severum but i was getting to beat up by my jack and meeki so I put it in the tropical fish tank and now it is much happier. What other fish could I put in my tank? Any help would be helpful.

A 55 is too small for one Oscar. I wouldn't consider anything until the new tank arrives

I know but what can I get to put in the bigger tank with the fish I have now? what can I do about my problem with my Bleeki getting chased around? Could I put a green or red terror in the tank?

Plus My Jack seems to bully every new fish i put in there. Any help would be greatful. I have a feeling that this new fish is going to get killed.

a 55 gallon is not to small  its the bare minimum.

and for the question just wait for your new tank it will be alot easier to find a tank mate tht wont get killed. repost your question when you get your tank so we can figure it out

Actually, a 75 is the bare minimum, and only with frequent water changes and light feedings. A 100+ is really optimum for an Oscar.

You Jack now owns the tank and no invaders will be tolerated. Be happy he lets the others live for now.

If you have your heart set on overstocking this tank, you can temporarily move the really territorial fish out while introducing the new fish, rearrange all of the decorations in hopes of erasing previous territorial boundaries, and add all of the fish at once so they are all a bit confused and have to set up new territories. But you really should consider what you will do with the adult bulk of these fish a year or two from now. It's always sooner than you think...

55 is:) then again BARE MINIMUM. 75 is bare minimum in your opinion but in reality a 55 is fine for an oscar

An Oscar won't be able to turn around in a 55. How is that okay? Unless you mean a 55 wide instead of the usual tall...

Your reality is actually an incorrect opinion. An oscar is to big for a 55 gallon tank, period. Discussion over.
