Question about Green Terrors and the orange on there tail

Looks just like mine did about that size. Mines male, generally at that size the males start to develop the green iridescent coloring on the sides. Also the orange appears to be thickening at the top and bottom of the tail. Females usually only have orange on the top half and very little on the lower half in my experiences.

Cool thanks...I am pumping it full of food to see what it turns out to be. I will update with pics as it grows.
 
hi mate the orange gets thicker over time , my g.t's was very thin to start with but has got much thicker over the course of the year just stick with it , feed well and regular water changes should do the trick

Does anyone know why some Green Terrors get the orange on the side fin they use to swim with and some don't? Notice the GT in the first pic has the orange on the side fin and the second pic doesn't.

This is my little guy I just got 4 days ago. What do you think. Male or female? Think it will have good color. I'm have always wanted a green terror now I finally have one. I hope it turns out colorful. Tank mates are 6 inch JD 2 paired jewels 13 inch place 1 angel soon a dragon goby. Think he will get along with his new family? Pic of the JD because I think it's a she but not she. Help on that would be cool to. Thanks

the JD is indeed a female. Nice pics. Unfortunately, I'm not qualified to comment on the GT questions.
