question about growth

I'll believe it from Scott that most of the time they may grow that way. But all of my tems have grown longer more quickly than monocs orinos and azuls. They may grow mass wise at the same rate. But from what I've had the tems grew lengthwise much more quickly even to 12".

If the Orinos Grow slower than others, what size should they be at a year when going from egg to 12 months?

The monthly rate isn't as important to me as mile stones. 6, 12, 18, 24 months. Average for those markers seems a better way to approach this.

Depending on water quality/changes feeding and tank size etc I would estimate around 12-18 months.

what I was meaning when I wrote this
"tem growth is a bit misrepresented in the fact its a different cichla ...being it is "long and slender" compared to monocs ect(thick and tall)....the rate is the same, but at around 10-12" monocs grow girth and thicken up whereas tems basically keep putting on length and dont really thicken up untill after 20"
is tems will put on more length than a monoc ect because monocs ect slow down and growth "tall and thick" whereas tems dont get "tall and thick untill around 20"....thus tems do put on length quicker than a monoc ect,but when both fish are 15-18" a monoc will be alot more bulk and football sized compared to a long skinny tem....also keep in mind where the tem is from influences growth rate...my and others rio tocantins tems(LAs) grew slower than our monocs ect ;) and were quickly outgrown by rio tapajos tems over the farm tems.
