Question about Malawi mbunas

Keep the lights off in the room and stay for a while, they will start to ignore you, just like everyone else.

Mine do that only when they're hungry, otherwise they ignore my presence.

Mine definitely do this too! I think it is so cute. They can see into the kitchen from one corner of the tank, and they tend to congregate there when I am cooking. I think they are watching me.

Every cichlid iv ever kept has learnt my face and associated me with food...angelfish, discus, jack dempseys, green terrors, jaguars....even my clown loaches do it now! Makes them feel like pets as well as a hobby

They seem to be like rats and come to the front as soon as any one approaches. I have a 55gal. hap/peacock and a 40gal mbuna tank and they are both beggers. Very normal behavior.
