Question about Paid Time Off

Quick question i though you guys might be able to answer.

I work at petco, due to my hours getting cut and my boss being a plain old jerk, im quitting. From my time as a shift manager ive built up some PTO (paid time off). Ive got about 100 hours to use up, when i quit am i going to lose these or will i get paid for them?

Ive asked some other people.
some say yes youll get paid for them.
some say no, if you quit you lose em.

anyone know the answer?
 
You get them all in your last check. You will not lose them.

I quit Petco in June, and started my new job in July. My last paycheck from Petco was HUGE.
 
I see you are in MD, what Petco was it? I was at the Laurel store.
 
No worries. Double check on that though. I would sit down with your MOD. If you can't do that, then call the HR people. There should be a number in the back.

Worst thing you can do. You HAVE to not burn any bridges.

Think of it this way....Two years down the road, you land a wonderful interview for a dream job. They are looking at your resume, and need to do a background check on you. They call up your old boss.

Think he will remember you if you "go out with a bang"?


Not worth the risk. Suck it up, and give him/her a two weeks notice.
