This one is about 2.5" and I've been waiting on him to get any type of color. In the picture he seems to have a purple tint, but in reality that tint is simply not present. He's just boring grey.
I'm wondering if this is normal and whether or not he'll start coloring up.
Also at what size should I expect good coloration?

breidorhi are almost always late bloomers so this is normal. My old male didn't get any color until he was 3" and he didn't get his full pink until he hit 7".
Also, I think you might be overfeeding a little:D

My little 2" are starting to get red/orange on the inner fins, so any time now I'd assume for you.

x2 on the over feeding. lots of small meals works better in my experience

Well that's a relief! At the time he had quite a few tankmates so when I put enough food for everyone, he would get aggressive and stuff himself ;).

You can feed 3 times a day, but be careful with the amounts.you might need to increase your WC

You have to be patient with them. What you have there is the start of the coloring up. My female was flat out silver, then started to get that purple sheen. They seem to do everything slowly except eating lol as you have noticed. I found that they also grow in spurts, nothing, nothing, then almost overnight they put on an inch. Hope this helps!
