ok I grasp the concept of how it removes the water but my big question I'd how do you add water useing the python? And what if your faucet is one of those fancier ones that don't have threads? I'd like to know. If its worth it before I put out the dough to get one.

The faucet has to be threaded. If it has the aerator you can remove that and put the adapter on it.

^ agreed ^

They are def worth getting!!!

just get it! there is no turning back once you have one. Plain and simple

Check to see the inner part of the faucet is threaded. If it is, you have to get one. It's a no-brainer.

Actually I have turned back, I'm not discouraging anyone from buying one, but I find they just take too long and waste too much water..... As of right now I fill buckets from the tub which has a much greater flow and saves me a boat load of time, also gets my fat arse a little excercise.....

they are great. to cut down on water costs get the syphon going with a short blast of high water then turn off. I will often run the hose into the back yard and drain to water the lawn... then hook to the sink to refill... I love it... I have 150 feet of it... way fast then buckets for larger tanks...

How much water does it really use? i noticed that it says the amount of a toilet flush but what are they comparing it to? A 1gallon, 10gallon, 55gallon, 100gallon?

I also did see that the water comes out of a the tiny hole in the pump.
