Hi guys, im probably plan to get a pair of schoederies and are offered approx usd 1600 for a 10" size pair.. Do you guys think it is a good deal?

I also heard that sakuras are sensitive rays compared to other species, can anyone help me confirm this? What are the suitable Ph and water parametes for them? Any expert here can guide me are really appreciated.

Thanks

just imo but way overpriced, especially for 2 young rays that are too young to breed. Yes, they are more sensitive than many other potas.
pH etc requirements same as for any Amazon fish, but more critical for rays, especially Schroederi

$1600 for a pair around 10in is to high in my opinion. I was quoted $650 each for 8-9in flowers.

But I wouldn't dare to keep these guys, knowing I would eventually have to give them up.

consider his location in this...they might be really hard to get there...

Too much but if you like them, they are healthy, and fat then who cares about the price. They are not offered much in the trade and when you do find them they are skinny with a high risk of dieing. They don't handle stress well so once you establish them, leave them alone and let them be happy.

Depending on location and the ray itself. Like everyone said they are tricky at first and if your new to rays very hard. If this ray has been in captivity for a year and is an aggresive eater and can compete with leos and motoros for food then yes that is a good price. By the size of it I would say that isn't the case and then location would be the big factor for the cost.

I was thinking the same too, the price way too overpriced compare to other price in your countries guys, but this kind of true sakura is really really rare down here, and i was thinking twice of getting it on that price.. On the other hand someone offered me a pdr x henlei 4" pups pair for around 1200usd.. Is this a good deal?

Thats a rip off. 1000 for a pair is reasonable IMO.
