This thread wasn't closed yet because, mainly, we didn't know it existed until page 7. Not a single complainer or internet tough guy thought to ask the staff directly before ranting on this thread.
To the main subject, show me proof that the xingu black Hoplias has been named into a species of it's own and I'll allow the solicitation of the species as I do for the currently named species other than H. malabaricus in CA. Until then, I'm going with the Sterba listing that this species is a variant of H. mal and block its solicitation by members in illegal states.
