That ain't how it works . (takes a high pressure hose to remove most of the BB)


It's a shame you don't have more time as you could put your new filter medias into your pond filter for a week or so the populate them with BB, then use the safestart in your tank.

Keep a log (daily) on the chemistry of the new tank, watching for overloads on the Ammonia & nitrites or lack of nitrAtes.
