Question for Acrylic experts

I would suggest using 1/2 it at all possible as well... but...

a curved front is actually quite a bit stronger than a large flat panel. The greater the curvature, the greater the strength benefit. Think about it, it's already bowed into a partial circle, so additional pressure will tend to put the acrylic in tension, rather than bending.

Please keep us updated if you do indeed decided to DIY the curve. I have never actually made a curved front panel like that, although I've considered trying.

Ofcourse, makes complete sense. The piece itself will absolutely be stronger... but you have to worry about the bonds. Thats the only big issue.

Oh of course, the seams will need to be A+, possibly cleated.
