Is that clear hose the drain for the main display? Are you using an overflow on the display tank so it won't siphon out into the sump and on the floor if the power goes out?

No, the clear tubing is the return line from the pump back into the tank. At the top of the return line at the spout where it returns the water back into the tank is a siphon hole so that if I lose power, it automatically loses suction and drains back into the tank. I've checked it quite a few times and when I cut power to the pump, the feed line loses suction and drains back to the sump, and the overflow stops draining.
