Question for Ray owners

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If possible try to separate off a segment of tank for the new small ray just until it is a aclimatised and eating. If this isn't possible it may be a bit harder to get it eating due to it being disturbed by the established one. After that as long as they get enough food each you should have no problems keeping them together.

Good luck :nilly:

YES he does look like a he. I currently have 2 12" male and female motoro's and one 8" in my 280 gal and there doing fine in fact the big pair are starting to show signs of breeding.

He is a he for sure and that's better IMO (unless you want to breed them) because they'll stay a bit smaller.

I wouldn't mine to get a female and if they breed they breed but I want to wait until I put them in a bigger tank. I am very happy with two males for now.

my female Retic around 17" total tail length included... HATES my male yepezi which is about 12.5 inch with tail...absolutely hates him.

Comes down to the rays personalities.

Rays are doing great together! The new ray just ate some blackworms after only being in the tank for a couple of hours! I can't really get any good pics right now cause he just hid in the sand but as soon as I do I will post them in the photo lounge!

I think you already know for sure but that is a male. GL with ur rays i think they will do fine
