see but im kind of looking to grow algae

I meant get you nitrates high for a little while to promote the algae growth.

no algae doesnt do any harm to the tank or fish just some peoples eyes

I want green algae. I got brown algae yuck!

I think brown algae is a different type of algae all together, but im not sure. Wish I had some cool looking green stuff though.

yea i just did some research on google, its a different kind/or color. Theres a lot of science behind algae, lol.

I just read that hair and bead algae use silicate and phosphate. Most pH adjusters have those in it. Other than that light and nutrients like nitrates are good.
