Question of pump head

Not to throw a spanner in the works but pump head is also affected by pipe friction... depends on pipe diameter to volume pumped. theoretically zero... practically not. I once built such a setup for a 12000 gal pump with generous pipe diameters on a pond system and out of curiosity put a pressure gauge in just behind the pump. I pumped 2 metres above the water line and the siphon pulled the water back down below waterlevel. Pressure was 0.1 bar or 1 metre of pressure head

Yeah, I know. I was just concerned about knowing the one thing that I mentioned. There were lots of articles online about determining pump head, but none showed circumstances that equate to no head at all.
