As you all know I’ve been getting money for a larger tank for my fish btw today I got $10 so now I’m at $17 still not a lot but I’m starting to get somewhere but anyway I was thinking of selling my silver arowana he’s very healthy no scale or fin damage and he’s about 8 inches maybe more I haven’t properly measured him yet but just wondering what a good price would be for a 8-10 inch silver arowana in good condition because I’ve seen some online for 80$ and others for 300$ and I bought mine at 3 inches and was 90$

80-125 depends on area
Thanks I got him for 90$ and now 3-4 times as big as when I got him so I’m think of around 175? But a part of me tells me more because of the value he has to me he was the first fish in this tank but not sure what to do

Local price matters only to local buyers; if a buyer is willing to have a fish shipped then you must compete with whatever prices that buyer can find from other sellers in other areas of the country. If other MFK members are finding similar fish for $40, $80...why would someone pay you $175 for yours?

Does the fish have sentimental value to you? If so, that's nice...but it doesn't affect what a stranger will be willing to pay for it at all. Did you overpay when you bought it? If so, that's too bad...but it doesn't affect the fish's actual market value either.

I buy and sell a lot of non-aquarium-related hobby merchandise online, and I'm always hearing "I just want to get back the money I have into it!" from chronic over-pricers. Makes me laugh...but it doesn't make me inclined to overpay just because they did.

The pics you have posted show a nice healthy-looking fish. Price it fairly and sell it quickly before it deteriorates from the overcrowded small tank in which you have it; if you dig in your heels and stubbornly keep the price too high, the fish won't sell...but it will become less attractive, less healthy and eventually worthless.
