i have a 6 inch acaratheis heckeli and about a year ago or so he got his tail fin ripped by another fish. it didnt go down to far even. only about half way. anyways in my experiance it should have healed in a few weeks completly, but it hasnt. there is a permanate v shape to the tail now. is there anything i can do to stimulate the tail to regrow? someone told me to take the fish out and cut it a millimeter back from the old wound and it might start re groth. i am not sure if i want to do that, but what other options are there? if any. or just leave it be of course as i have for the last year. the fish has no problems or issues, i guess i just like pretty fish lol. by the way i am just asking a question so please dont be to mean with your critisizm.
