Hmmm it wasn't huge, it was in a 60g tall tank and was the only decor in there. I remember her shaking the log rather vigorously to get him out of there (which annoyed me). There were quite a few large cichlids and plecos in the same tank as him.
He's doing fine...a little "skin" has grown back over the part closest to his body and he swims and acts normal (well, I'm assuming normal...he mostly just sits in his fav corner and stares at me. Not exactly the most active bugger I've ever seen). He really is a gorgeous fish. It's been a few weeks now and I think if he was going to have some ill effect from this, he would be showing signs of it by now.
