Hi,

I have this black male molly( see bad pic) who has these white spots on him, they seemed to have gotten better but now I am not sure. I have been treating my freshwater 30 l tank with ick medication for the past 5 days.

I need some advice, help, suggestions!! PLEASE!!!!

Thanks,

Krista

hmmm, best advice i can give would be to stick the temp up and carry on with the meds

check to make sure your ich meds have no salt or copper stuffs in them both are very bad for your corys

best thing to do is to just turn up the heat (80-85) and let it run its course

hard to tell from the pic but that looks more like a bacterial of some kind not ick. Do you have a small quarantene tank you could put it in with just an airstone, dont even need gravel, and treat it with a bacterial medication. Be very careful and ALWAYS go by the directions

i agree it doesnt look like ich, it looks more like injury.

I want to apologize for the poor pics, we just got this new camera and I haven't figured it all out yet. It takes me some time to!!! LOL!!!

What kind of bacterial medication? As far as injury, I don't believe I have anything in my tank that would injury.

I woke up this morning and it looks like he is a lot better!! I don't see any spots on him at all. So my question, if it was ick should I keep medicating the tank for a few more days!!!

You guys are the best!!! Thank you Chloe_21, Thank you Chesterthehero, Thank You JimV8673, and Woofy for answering and helping me out!!!!

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Krista

Im not sure how much help we were but thats why we are all here, to TRY to help, and have a good time. Your should buy a good book on aquarium fish keeping, most of those have a section on diseases, and will reccommend remedys. Glad he looks better, and hope it stays that way :)
