ehhh i cant answer this for you but i have seen red bellies in tanks with other fish (tank mates) in pictures only..... to answer your question if some possible way ,which i doubt, the red bellies didnt chew off the peas fins... the bass will eventually make the red belly hs dinner.. you would need a gi-gundo sized tank and alllllot of cover

I have kept some non agressive cichlids with smaller rbp's. Fins got tattered pretty quickly.. I did it because a pump died.. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

NO absolutely not because ive had piranhas with cichlas and it never works out. eventually the piranha start snapping the fins of the cichla,that was enough for me to pull em out no piranha for me if you like em that much try red or black pacu
