question to dat owners.

I'm quite confused about this. I've seen dozens and dozens of dats in community tanks w/ FW fish like Aro, Bichir, etc, etc. Are they adaptable to FW or Brackish or they are strictly brackish?...

The fish will survive in FW but it will thrive in brackish ( its natural habitat). I have all the other 4 types of dats and I will not get an AT because I can't provide the proper conditions (brackish). In my book this is called responsible fish keeping.

I think I misunderstood. You're saying ONLY the AT is the brackish type Dat? GOTCHA. I thought you were referring to all Dats which is why I was confused.

well im glad to know that! i wont be able to provide brackish water because of my other fish so i will choose a type other than AT when i get one!
