i'd suggest you figure out what kinds of piranhas he has. If he only has red bellies then you should reconsider doing something else with your tank. If you can get a black p then i'd go for it But only one black due to the fact that they are very vicious. What ya want for red bellies is to have 5 or more in larger tank/ hope this helped
