hey,
im new to stingrays, i currently have a tank with and aro and 6 dats. i want to get a stingray.... is it a good idea to mix the rays with those mate that i have in there? ppl tell me its okay and ppl tell me its better off leaving them with fellow stings instead of mixing them. please advise.

general rule is if it fits in the rays mouth it might get eaten.

fish/ray combos can and do work, its just a matter of the mix.
(check out the pic gallery)

p.s. no plecos allowed with rays

how big is your tank is the main thing. if there is enough room it should be fine. what kind of arow do you have? good luck

I have 2 raysith them I have a silver arowana, 16 inch moray eel, and 2 big angels all together and everyone is happy happy. My pleco too a quick trip to the lfs. I moved my 13 clown loaches to a different tank, I have read they are fine with rays but mine were constantly pecking at my rays so they had to go.

my tank is 100g. but before gettting a ray im upgrading it to 180. its going to be with 5 inch aro, 6 4inch dats. and no i did not know its a no no in cali... how come?

even if rays were legal then your 180 would pretty much be too small for most rays, except for a teacup species, and even then a 180 is pretty much a bare minumum.
