Looks like a nice free marking male kamalau with a lighter base color. Like BIG_ONE said if it didn't start a different color and peel it's not a fader. Here is my light based color kamalau that I got as a fry from mr.fh from thailand for about $10 @ 2-3" for comparison.

yep, i agree with big-one and cam. I've got a fader with lots of pearls, its called a KK. the seller probably just made up the name, or heard it from another seller.

Faders are not just yellow or slightly yellow or golden since born. They are a whole set of different colors like the rest of the other ones. Then they turn dark gray or even black for that matter of fact and peel into yellow/golden/red coloring. If it doesn't peel, it's not a fader.
yea i have to agree with you. by the looks of it the color is just gonna be alittle better with bigger head. i think im just gonna grow it out and see what i get. besides thats the fun in having a fh :D. ill probably grow it out to about 6 inches or so and see what potential it has.

im aware of that;) but the reason i got this one was because it was very unique from the group it was with. others had like full flowerline but barely any pearls and the one i picked up had no flowerline with alot of pearl. the picture quality is pretty bad so i cannot show you but the pearls are actually really blue. from mouth to tail is fully covered. when it comes to fh i like the unique ones. :D ill keep updating and see the progress.

Very nice, suprising he is not aggressive. I have my FH with a BP and they get along great. Mine does not seem to be aggressive either but I have not tried any other fish with him so he might be.

its been alittle while since i posted this thread and there seem to be some improvements from the last time i posted.
