at wat temp do pickerel start spawning...and wat time off year

All esox spawn very early in the season. In my area many will spawn under the ice. It's hard for this reason to give you an exact temperature since they'll actually spawn in many temperature ranges but you can be sure they'll all spawn in the very early parts of spring (or actually late winter depending on how you look at it). All my local esox have spawned and I'm finding their young everywhere at this time of year.

Always in shallow weedy water in the case of Northern pike and Grass pickerel. I'd guess this is mostly true for the other esox as well but they might differ slightly.
