I have a JD, GT, Sal, and 2 FM's together and they're doing very well. In fact they're in a 90 and it may sound overstocked, BUT this stocking was designed to spread agression among them. It's working very well, w/c every weekend.
Not sure about the Oscar in the mix tho. Never had one but just seems outta place, as most of the other cichlids are much faster and agile in comparison. Seems like they'd have a competitive advantage and could pick on an Oscar IMO.

I have found that with SA/CA cichlids that either you must have enough room for each fish to establish and keep it own territory. Or have the tank heavily stock so that no fish can establish it's own territory.
Currently I'm using the second method with my 150 gallon which includes the following fish.
8" male red devil
6" female red devil
8" male jack dempsey
6" female dempsey
mated pair 4" firemouths
mated pair 3-4" barred convicts
materd pair 3-4" pink convicts
5.5" female green terror
3.5" female texas cichlid
3" veija syn.
2x 1.5-2" Petsmart Trimacs
6x 2-3" jaguars
2x 5-6" striped rapheal catfish
The tank works well, very little aggression. I had to remove my 8" polleni though, he was very adimate about having a territory and end up getting thumped by the male red devil.

thats fine, just dont make the con the biggest, they are aggro like you wouldn't believe and make sure you grow the GT a little before the con as well. My GT had to be taken out of my 75 twice because it grows too slow and the other fish just force it into hiding although they were all the same size at one point.

I would add the oscar first then the jd then the gt and then the con. since cons are so fast they will be alright being added in an established cichlid tank because they have an escape velocity. oscars are sluggish and oafish. Also they don't have teeth and all they do is just chase the other fish around. Good luck.

Sure that combination will work. It all depends on what size they are. And how much room they have to live together. It's all relative.
I've had no problem putting 6 JD'S AND GT'S and have added a SALVINI as well in my 35 gallon. but they are all small 2inches.
But remember ... they will grow. then a 125 will be more adequate. I find it's all about space and environment. Just like people, I guess.

aquaman has the right idea as long as you fish grow so does your tank have to do the same and make sure the is plenty of places to hide
Your stock list will work in the right sized tank. Which brings us to a very simple question, which has been asked but not answered. What size tank will they be in (giving dimensions is best).
