lol.. If it has a heart tattoo that says "mom", guarenteed it's male though.

mcsnapper1, you have yourself a female. Cichlids dig in sand and gravel. Some dig none, some redecorate tanks. You should consider some natural colored sand if she's a digger. That way she doesn't kick up the nasties that are down in the gravel into the water. It will help keep you water clear and may just calm her down a bit too.

So far the tank is clear as ever. Now that she has that bare spot, she's not even going near that area.
