Questions about sand.

can you use pool filter sand with cichlids or is it too fine for them as they like to dig?

Pool filter sand is one of the largest sands. Very heavy and sinks immediately. My cichlids absolutely love it, as do my loricariids. I use it in most of my tanks.

Thanks for all the answers. I think i'll get some pool filter sand and start adding it, while i siphon the really fine stuff out over time.

+2 for Pool Filter Sand. I have been using it for over 6 years in all of my tanks. Easy to clean, settles well and looks great.
